Joel Kastelberg, Secretary

Born and reared in Santa Barbara, California, Joel spent many years in Los Angeles, working first for Rockefeller Realty then as producer of independent films. He is still engaged with creating and producing film and television – these days more with an interest in working on projects that fill his heart in some way.

After a chance meeting with Celebrate Planet Earth’s directors, he learned about the organization. He was smitten by the delight of receiving his first Butterfly Celebration Kit, and immediately saw the value in children being witness to what Celebrate Planet Earth offers. Joel is very passionate about being in the natural world– the quiet and peace he experiences in the desert or mountains fills his soul. Realizing he could help Celebrate Planet Earth expand its reach with his expertise in creative production, he joined the board.
