Albert Scharf, President
Originally from the New York City area, Albert came to New Mexico in 1970 to attend UNM for an architecture program that focused on conservation strategies for the earth, renewable energies, and alternative housing solutions. He and his wife, Susan, eventually established themselves in Santa Fe, where they raised their children and watched the city grow. Through their businesses, they have been involved with community projects and fundraising causes for many years.
Albert began working with Celebrate Planet Earth in the early 2000’s. The economically self sustaining NGO model was a revelation to him. He deeply believes in the importance of CPE’s mission and says that the sustained projects with pollinators and outreach to children is a source of pride for all involved.
Presently, he is a fine art painter represented both in Santa Fe, Tucson and Scottsdale. After many years of outdoor fun, my love of the land and sky is expressed in my landscape paintings – www.albertscharf.com.
