Wow, check out this great video from Emerson Elementary in Maywood, Illinois! West 40 ISC#2 School District sponsored a Butterfly Video Contest at all of their elementary schools. The PreK and 2nd grade classes at Emerson Elementary won a pizza party for all of the butterfly learning that they showed in their videos. Way to fly!

Get Ready for Spring with Butterfly Science!

Every spring, the #1 favorite activity of our teachers is observing the transformation of live caterpillars into fabulous butterflies. Students are mesmerized! They love to learn about insect anatomy, pollination and, of course, metamorphosis, and they can see it with their own eyes.

We offer 3 different butterfly kits for your classroom:

  • Caterpillar Cup
  • Basic Butterfly Kit
  • Butterflies & Sunflowers Kit

How Can Your Classroom Love & Protect the Earth?

1 Take the Planet Earth Pledge

No job is too big
No action too small
For the care of the Earth
Is the task of us all!
